Merrimack needed a leader, Wheeler failed to deliver

Merrimack needed a leader and an advocate to stand up to ICE. Executive Councilor David Wheeler failed to deliver for us.

After an initial peaceful protest that drew more than 1,000 people and made national news, Merrimack’s opposition was on record. Yet Wheeler remained silent beyond accusing Department of Natural and Cultural Resources Commissioner Sarah Stewart of misconduct and chiming in with Governor Kelly Ayotte to demand her resignation. That is not leadership, nor is it representing the interests or the will of the town of Merrimack and the citizens by whom he was elected.
